Care Services

Several healthcare professionals work together within this practice. On this page you will find an overview of the current care services offered.

Each practitioner works independently, while sharing a common commitment to collaboration, clarity, and appropriate professional boundaries.

General Practitioners

At Practice Cadenza, we provide general medical care for people with a wide range of health concerns, from acute complaints to chronic follow-up and preventive care.

We value accessible primary care, with attention to continuity, professional consultation, and a sustainable care framework.

Career Guidance

What do we do?

Career Guidance

Guidance for work-related questions such as stress or overload, feeling stuck in a current job, returning to work or re-orientation after illness, and making choices regarding career direction and professional development.

Where applicable, VDAB career vouchers (loopbaancheques) can be used
(€90 for 4 hours of career guidance).

More information about the vouchers can be found here.

Contextual Behavioural Therapy

In addition to career guidance, there is room for broader counseling around life questions related to work, identity, grief, and meaning.

Sessions are grounded in the principles of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and contextual behavioural therapy.

This type of guidance can also take place outside the framework of career vouchers.

Psychotherapists

What do we offer?

Psychotherapists offer conversation-based therapy for difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related problems, difficulties with emotion regulation, or persistent patterns that interfere with relationships and work.

The focus is on gaining insight, achieving stabilisation, and strengthening psychological resilience.

How do we work?

Each therapist works from their own psychotherapeutic frameworks, acquired through additional specialised training.

At the core of every form of psychotherapy is a safe therapeutic relationship, which creates space to further explore psychological difficulties and, where possible, to improve them.

When relevant, there is consultation within the practice with a general practitioner or psychiatrist.

Appointments?

Each therapist works independently within the practice and manages their own schedule.

Psychotherapeutic treatment is unfortunately usually not reimbursed by Belgian health insurance. In some cases, a limited reimbursement may be available; for this, we advise contacting your own health insurance provider.

For appointments and further information, please contact the therapist directly.

Psychiatrist

What do we offer?

A psychiatric assessment trajectory may be helpful when psychological difficulties persist or are complex despite ongoing support, or when additional clarification or professional advice is needed.

The assessment consists of a limited number of consultations (usually 3 to 5), in which attention is given to symptoms, personal history and current context. When possible, a significant other may be involved in one of the consultations.

The trajectory is concluded with a summary and clinical advice, outlining how the difficulties are understood and which further approach is recommended. This advice can, by mutual agreement, be shared with the patient and the referring healthcare professional. After this orienting phase, it is considered whether further follow-up within our practice is indicated and feasible, depending on the clinical needs and available capacity.

Referrals and accessibility

Referrals are accepted exclusively via an involved healthcare professional. The referring clinician can briefly describe the referral question by e-mail or request a moment of consultation.

Capacity for new assessment trajectories is limited; a referral does not automatically result in an intake. More information for referrers can be found here.

Telephone calls are not answered during consultations. E-mail is the preferred first point of contact.

Patients who are already in follow-up can use the online agenda to schedule or reschedule appointments.

For whom (and for whom not)?

This service is intended for (young) adults with persistent or complex psychological difficulties who are already receiving support from a general practitioner or psychotherapist.

Less suitable are requests that are primarily focused on formal diagnostic assessments (e.g. ASD or ADHD testing), medication-only follow-up, or the need for intensive or crisis-oriented care.
